History of our team

This workshop was created as an activity ACLE, beginning in May 2010 with the invitation from the teacher, Patricio Zambrano Asencio, room by room, drawing the attention of about 13 students.

In the beginning we worked only with the enthusiasm, there was no lay or robots, just analyzing various issues atingentes or saw videos of the competition.
Gradually it was breaking up the group for not having the tools, were 9 students.

The teacher applies for a grant IBM, and for being a group of the area affected by the earthquake of 27 February, we benefit with 3 NXT Kits.
Our teacher manages the Rector, Mr. Luis Martínez Catalán, competition entry 2010, "Forward Body" The meeting of the Engineering in Medicine, funded by SELA registration (La Araucana Education Society).

It begins to work very hard, attended workshops UCSC Robotics (Catholic University of the Holy Conception), taught by Jaime Shelter. Participate in the regional championship at UCSC, earning an outstanding participation and also as a result of hard work, we beat the best, teams in schools with experience. A 2 nd place at the regional level, with the right to participate in the national championship and we became Regional Champions Robot Game 2010 after a close final.

Happy news, our school community reacted instantly, Santiago works to go to the national championship and proudly represent our school.
Lack of resources, we were not prepared for such a situation is handled by the General Center for Parents and Guardians passages and through SELA accommodation.
We arrived in Santiago with a belief, a spirit that we are proud to this day, In the hotel, prepare and review technical issues, as he saw the unity of the team.

The waiting begins for a place in the World Robotics Festival, the largest in the world for the school, until one day, the press gives evidence that would have the right to participate and, after a few hours, this space is Confirmed ... The joy of the team is immense, we organized a meeting to share and have fun. Create a blog, whose purpose is to learn everything on our team and to share our work with everyone. We began to restructure the job to go to San Luis, an arduous task that involves several aspects, including economic, procedures, tasks, meetings, etc.

Met UCSC support regarding the entry in the $ 1000 championship and also support the Robot Programming, in which Jaime Shelter gave us new tools, skills and fundamental to competition. Language department teachers in our school with English support us in the competition will be the only valid language, all areas are developed in English, and obviously to the city and interact with other participants. In the area of ​​Teamwork, Eduardo Valdebenito, family psychologist, gives us all your help, we develop tasks that involve the whole team, we see our actions carefully.

Organize a camp in Aguas Calientes in Chillan to further develop skills and unit / team efficiency.
